Kinder Math Foundations for young beginners

For first-time learners — building background knowledge through everyday stories, tools, and games.

Children who are beginning to learn math for the first time can build background knowledge through a variety of everyday topics and stories.

By engaging in activities using different tools and games, they can develop interest and enjoyment — which in turn helps foster their thinking skills and creativity.

Olympiad Math Advanced-level programme

Advanced-level competition mathematics, by placement or prior award.

Our Olympiad Mathematics Programme is designed to help students achieve strong competition results through systematic analysis, strategic problem-solving, and targeted practice. We begin by analysing the question types commonly tested at each grade level. Students then study effective strategies for each category and apply them through carefully selected practice problems.

The programme is delivered in three stages:

  • Question-Type Analysis and Strategy Development: Students learn to identify key problem types and develop appropriate solving strategies.
  • Targeted Practice by Topic and Question Type: We analyse each student's strengths and weaknesses and provide personalised AI-generated questions tailored to the areas that require further improvement.
  • Competition-Style Practice: Students complete timed and full-length practice sets to improve accuracy, speed, confidence, and overall competition performance.

Please note that this is an advanced-level programme. Students may enrol only if they pass our placement assessment or have previously received an award in a recognised mathematics competition.

International School Math Elementary · Middle · High

A two-stage pathway from foundation building to advanced problem solving.

A strong mathematical foundation is essential during the primary years. Rather than focusing only on memorising formulas or completing worksheets, students need to develop a clear understanding of how numbers, operations, and mathematical concepts work.

Our Primary Mathematics Foundation Programme builds essential skills systematically, according to each student's grade level and individual ability.

The programme covers key areas of primary mathematics. Lessons are carefully structured to ensure that students not only learn calculation methods but also understand the reasoning behind them. We place particular emphasis on accuracy, mathematical vocabulary, logical thinking, and the ability to explain each step clearly.

The programme progresses through two main stages:

  • Stage 1: Mathematics Foundation Building: Students strengthen their understanding of core concepts and develop accurate and efficient calculation skills. Any learning gaps are identified and addressed before students move on to more advanced work.
  • Stage 2: Advanced Problem Solving and Application: Once students have established a solid foundation, they learn how to apply their knowledge to multi-step, non-routine, and higher-level word problems. They practise selecting appropriate strategies, organising information, and presenting clear and logical solutions.

By progressing from conceptual understanding to practical application, students develop the confidence and flexibility needed to approach unfamiliar problems independently. This structured pathway prepares them not only for school mathematics but also for more advanced problem-solving, entrance examinations, and mathematics competitions.

Transforming conversational fluency into true academic excellence.

Academic English for International School Students.

Transforming conversational fluency into true academic excellence.

Many believe that attending an international school naturally leads to full English mastery. However, conversational fluency alone is not enough for academic success. True success requires Academic English — the ability to think critically, analyze complex texts, and articulate sophisticated ideas with clarity. Our specialized program is engineered to bridge this gap, structured into two power-house tracks: Advanced Reading & Literacy and The 6 Traits of Writing.

Track 1: Strategic Reading & Critical Literacy

Designed by level and core concept, our Reading track goes beyond basic decoding to foster deep comprehension and analytical thought.

  • Vocabulary Expansion: Mastering academic register, nuanced word meanings, and domain-specific terminology.
  • Structural Analysis: Understanding complex sentence structures and textual organization.
  • Critical Literacy: Training students to read between the lines, draw evidence-based inferences, and evaluate arguments.
Track 2: Comprehensive Writing & Essay Mastery

Using the internationally recognized 6 Traits of Writing framework (Ideas, Organization, Voice, Word Choice, Sentence Fluency, and Conventions), we guide students toward sophisticated, high-level expression.

  • Foundational Rigor: Internalizing the 6 key traits to build a strong structural foundation.
  • Analytical & Logical Writing: Constructing well-reasoned arguments, structured essays, and persuasive papers.
  • Creative Expression: Developing a unique voice, vivid imagery, and engaging narrative techniques.

How We Teach

A simple cycle, built for real understanding

Many of our lessons follow a similar four-step rhythm — from first picture to full confidence.

  1. Picture It

A real, everyday-life story helps children grasp the idea behind the day's mathematical topic.

  2. Explore

Through activities such as games, math manipulatives, questions, and projects, children learn the topic while having fun.

  3. Practice

Reviewing through practice questions, children build up their confidence in what they learned and make sure they understand what they did in class.

  4. Take the Challenge

Based on their understanding of the concepts, children go on to explore more in-depth, challenging problems.
